How it works

How a test runs

From loading the sample to the result in your dashboard.

Overview

  1. Sample

One flat layer of grain in the drawer; drawer closed.

  2. Capture

Three images: white light, UV 365 nm, UV 385 nm.

  3. Analysis

On the box: find each kernel, identify the crop, grade the kernel.

  4. Result

On the screen, then in the dashboard with every image.

Step by step

  1. Before the first test

Create an account and a workspace in the dashboard. Then register the box: it shows a six-digit code on its screen, and a workspace admin or manager enters that code under Boxes, Register box. From then on, the box's tests arrive in your workspace.

  2. Spread the sample

Open the drawer and spread the grain in one flat layer. Kernels that overlap hide each other, and the box will ask you to redo the sample. Close the drawer fully.

  3. Start Test

Tap Start Test. If your workspace asks questions for each test, such as a lot number or a supplier, the box asks them now. They can be skipped. Keep the box still and the drawer closed from here on.

  4. Checks

The box confirms its registration, prepares the camera and focuses on the sample. If it cannot confirm that the drawer is closed, it stops and says so. Close the drawer fully and try again.

  5. Three images

The camera takes the sample in white light, then under UV at 365 nm, then at 385 nm. The lamps take turns, so each image has one light source.

  6. Analysis on the box

Models on the box find the kernels in the images, identify the crop of each one and grade it. The screen shows the result.

  7. Results

The test uploads to your dashboard with its images, where your team can filter it and see it on a map. With a receipt printer paired, the box prints a slip with the result and a QR code to a public result page.

On the box, Help & Tour walks through a full test on the real screen. Nothing is saved during the tour.

Without a connection

A test does not need a connection. Offline, the box keeps results and images and uploads them when it is back online, results first.
